Celebrating Client Successes

Milk’s success at this year’s Designers Institute of New Zealand’s Best Awards is undeniable, winning 4 x gold, 1 x silver and 2 x bronze in 2025 including for their work in relation to Honeysticks, My Way Up and the NZMACI Foundation.

However, it’s just the latest evidence of their drive for excellence – with previous awards including:

  • the best-in-class Purple pin award for Graphics at NZ’s Best Awards in 2023.

  • the highest honour at the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) Awards in 2024.

I loved working with MILK’s senior team - Ben Reid, Anthony Hos and Sarah Melrose - as they applied their philosophy to the way that they manage legal risk relevant to their business.

Well done guys and all the best for 2026.

EV Maritime’s first fully electric ferry, built for Auckland Transport at McMullen & Wing’s shipyard is now in advanced sea trials on Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf.  The EVM200 class vessel has space for 200 passengers and up to 9 bicycles and will travel (very quietly!) at up to 25 knots.  It is expected to be handed over in the next few months, with another due in 2026.

The collaboration skills of EV Maritime’s CEO, Michael Eaglen, were key to the financing, design, build and delivery of these ferries.

However, it was his environmental leadership that was recognised this month as he was presented with the prestigious Blake Award for business – recognising him as an inspirational New Zealander, who has delivered high impact environmental results and contributed to a more sustainable future for Aotearoa.

Congratulations Michael and I look forward to helping you pull together the next electrical win-win!
